What this is
I sincerely believe that life would be easier and happier if everyone were able to live in a place that aligns with their personal preferences, values, and goals. We've all had thoughts like "I wish I lived somewhere more walkable" or "I want to live somewhere with no mosquitos", maybe even "I want land to grow my own food". This tool is designed to help you take these dreams and use them to find where you really feel at home.
How it works
Habitat is a Claude Code skill that builds a weighted list of your preferences and requirements, which it then uses to find, evaluate, and log places to live that fit your personal criteria.
It lives entirely on your machine. Your criteria, shortlist, and notes sit in ~/.solytus/habitat — plain files you can read, edit, and back up. Updating the skill never moves or re-evaluates your data.
How to use it
Just talk to Habitat naturally about where you want to live. Start by telling it what you're looking for: your non-negotiables, your nice to haves, even your ideal case daydreams. Habitat will ask questions to clarify those priorities into meaningful search criteria.
Once you have some search criteria, all you have to do is ask Habitat to either evaluate a specific place you're interested in or find options that fit your criteria. It will then score those places against your weighted preferences and update a running log so you can track and compare the places you've considered.
Update your criteria, explore new options, or deep dive into promising candidates at any time; Habitat works and grows with you.
